Our supplier 3D Plus is expanding its product line in the space sector with the new IRIS camera family. The IRIS camera family is based on the latest developments in the field of space cameras and the associated technology, which have already been successfully used in space missions such as the Mars Sample Return (MSR), PROSPECT and Martian Moon eXploration (MMX).

The core of the IRIS camera family is the CASPEX 4-megapixel camera head, which 3D PLUS has been manufacturing for more than five years and has been successfully used in space projects such as SuperCam, LICIACube and SPEXone. By combining the camera head with its standard FPGA design, which provides a SpaceWire interface to the user, space-grade optical lenses and a robust, space-grade mechanical housing, the IRIS family enables versatile and complete space camera configurations.
The IRIS product family now provides our customers with a standard solution for a wide range of imaging applications such as platform or instrument control, rover or satellite navigation and rendezvous, monitoring of the near and far environment (debris, satellites).
