Our supplier Exxelia introduced its latest innovation in Smart Magnetic Technology. Designed specifically for resonant bi-directional power converters, they will redefine efficiency and performance standards for a wide range of applications.

Increasing electrification in critical markets such as aerospace, defense, and others, especially in electric and hybrid mobility, including EVTOLs, buses, heavy-duty vehicles, military and defense applications, off-road vehicles, and space propulsion, as well as in electrical energy storage systems and smart grid networks, requires the management and storage of large amounts of electrical energy. Exxelia’s Smart Magnetics technology offers another important step towards meeting these challenges.

Exxelia’s Smart Magnetic Technology

This management and storage of electrical energy requires the use of specific architectures such as DAB, LLC and interleaved converters that achieve very high efficiencies. Exxelia’s integrated Smart Magnetics Technology combines an inductor and a transformer in a single ultra-compact/miniaturized, lightweight component, regardless of inductance value, for seamless integration.
